SCOTT, Bruce R., April 1, 2025, of Chesterfield, VA and previously of North Collins, NY at the age of 76 years, after a brief illness. Beloved husband of the late Mary Kay (Chase) Scott. Loving father of Rebecca, Jeffrey (Kellie) and Andrew (Courtney). Beloved grandfather of Sean, Sara, Emma and Makayla. Son of the late Maurice Clawson Sr. and Isabelle (Scott) Clawson. Brother of Eva (Harold) Robbins, Maurice (Kathy) Clawson Jr. and Brother-in-Law of Michael J Chase Jr.

Bruce was a veteran of the US Air Force and had a 42-year career at the Buffalo News, where in his final position, he was Publishing Systems Manager. After retirement, he became a school bus driver, first for NCCS and then for Chesterfield School District as a special needs bus driver in Virginia. When he lived in North Collins, he was active in Scouting, acting as Scout Master for Troop 429 in the 1980's and he was one of the original founders of the North Collins Tee Ball league.

Friends and family may call Thursday April 10th from 5-7 PM and Friday April 11th for an 11 AM funeral service at the Wentland Funeral Home, 10634 Main St. (Rt. 62) North Collins, NY.   In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to James River Hospice Foundation and Tunnel to Towers Foundation in Bruce's name.
