Dorothy Spencer Ricotta passed away peacefully on December 8, 2024, at age 93. 'Dot' was born and raised in Mississippi until an Air Force radio operator swept her off her feet and moved her to New York State. An Eden resident since 1972, Dot was predeceased by her husband Anthony and daughter Karen. She is survived by her 4 sons, Tony (Carol), Curt (Valerie), Roger (Pauline), and David (Beth Guzzetta) Ricotta, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, Mississippi and New York family. Fiercely independent, but demure and humble, Dot excelled at cooking and baking. A homemade pie or a batch of cookies was often payment for deeds performed by neighbors and friends. She was last seen on her Kubota tractor mowing her 2 acres of lawn at the tender age of 92. She will be sorely missed. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, January 4, 2025, 10:30am, at Immaculate Conception Church, 8791 S Main St, Eden, NY.  Please assemble at the Church. Interment immediately following at Evergreen Cemetery, Eden, NY.
