Son of the late Harry A. and Grace L. Smith. Sister of Karen S. Gugino. Loving father of Kristine (Ronald) Macchioni, James (Melissa) Smith III, Michelle (Damian) Crowden, Alexandra Smith, Peter (Valerie) Smith and Nicholas (Tyrel) Smith. Best friend of Dana Gabel. Loved grandfather of Ronald, Alexander, Madeline, Andrew, Luke, Samantha, Derek, Connor and Tenley. Godfather of Cole, Brett and Brycen. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends and the mother of his children Anne E. Smith. No prior visitation. A memorial service will be held Saturday April 14th at 12 PM from the First Presbyterian Church, 64 E. Main St. Gowanda, NY 14070. Jim was the owner of American Wire Tie in North Collins, NY. He was a philanthropist donating to the American Red Cross, Erie County 4H, Salvation Army, North Collins Food Pantry, Catholic Charities and many other organizations.
