GOKEY, Kenneth A., Jan. 7, 2024 of Hamburg, NY at the age of 91 years.
Ken was proud to serve on the U.S.S. Talladega APA 208, US Navy.  After retiring as a maintenance supervisor from the Ford Motor Co., he went on to serve his church and community at the Tabernacle Food Bank for many years in Orchard Park, NY.  Ken enjoyed working in his wood shop creating many whimsical yard figures for friends and family.  Ken cared deeply for his home and his wife, Christine M. Gokey "Tina". Deceased Jan. 11, 2023.  Ken is survived by his beloved daughter Meeshel, her husband Gregory and their daughter Eliyana Helinski, Ken's brothers; Leo Jr. and Donald Gokey both deceased. As well as their parents Gertrude (Pelkey) and Leo Gokey.  Our family thanks Gowanda R.N.C. for their care and kindness, which made my parents final years happy and content.   Friends may call Wednesday from 11 am- 12:30 PM at the Wentland Funeral Home 10634 Main St. (Rt. 62) North Collins, NY where funeral services will take place at 12:30 PM.  Burial will follow at Holy Spirit Cemetery.
