Beloved wife of the late Edward Lay Sr.  Loving mother of Veronica, Mary (Bill), Juanita (Late Dana), Michael Sr. (Janette), Julie (Syd) John, Blain (Cheri) and the late Greg, Blake, Edward Lay Jr. and Carlton John.  Grandmother of 28 grandchildren, 63 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and 1 great-great-great grandchild.  Sister of Darlene, Kenny Kettle and the late Rosetta Tallchief, Gordon Steeprock, Wilford Steeprock, Mildred Hernandez, Lorraine Serio, Elmer Steeprock Sr., Arlene Twoguns, Laverne "Lefty"  Kettle,  Adelbert Steeprock Jr. and Roland Ground. Friends may call Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Wentland Funeral Home 10634 Main St. (Rt. 62) North Collins, NY where funeral services will take place Saturday at 9:30 AM and 10 AM from the Longhouse Cattaraugus Seneca Territory.  Madeline was an Auxiliary member of American Iroquois Post #1587.
