Eulogy

Regina grew up on a grape farm in Portland, New York, along Lake Erie. Her family history indicates that Regina's ancestors brought grape farming to Chautauqua County, NY from Sweden. Regina developed many talents from farming life that served her well throughout her life. She loved gardening and caring for her flowers.  She was a wonderful seamstress helped her church make and donate many blankets to a local hospital for newborn babies. She blessed her family with her cooking and baking talents, especially on holidays. Regina took good care of herself, her family and her home. She donated her time to serving at the Salvation Army and to helping people pass comfortably into the next life at Crossroads. Her greatest talent in our estimation was her interest in her friends and family. She rarely missed their birthdays and often wrote letters to both friends and family. She was a beautiful model in her young adulthood. Regina owned her own profitable business in Batavia, and later worked for Montgomery Ward in Batavia, where she met and married Raymond Schaefer.
