Eugene “David” Kennedy

April 9, 1951 – September 1, 2026 

Eugene “David” Kennedy, affectionately known as Dave, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2026, at the age of 75. Born on April 9, 1951, he was the son of the late Clarence “Leo” Kennedy and Vera N. Plummer Kennedy.  Dave was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. He is survived by his children, David, Jeremy and Josh Kennedy; Ashley (Jeremiah) Kennedy; Brittany (Freeman) Seneca; Lauren Kennedy; and Keaton Kennedy, Denna Jamieson. He was preceded in death by his beloved children, Jason and Jerrod Kennedy.  He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will carry his memory and the stories of him with them for generations to come.  Dave is survived by his siblings, Richard Kennedy, Margaret (Dennis) Repicci, and Michael Kennedy.  Dave worked as an ironworker with Local 6 in Buffalo, New York, where he spent many years working hard and providing for his family.  Outside of work, Dave found happiness in the simple things. He loved taking long rides through the country, walking in the woods, and watching the beauty of sunsets and sunrises. He had a special love for his dogs and never seemed to mind holding onto all of his cars—even the ones that didn't work.  Those who knew Dave will remember him for the life he lived, the memories he created, and the love he had for his family and the things that brought him happiness. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on through his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, and all those who had the privilege of knowing him.  Rest peacefully, Dave. May your road now be long, your skies full of beautiful sunsets and sunrises, and your journey surrounded by the things you loved.  Friends may call at the family residence 14012 Rt. 438 Cattaraugus Seneca Territory on Wednesday September 2nd and Thursday September 3rd where funeral services will be held on Friday September 4, 2026 at 10 AM.  Arrangements by Wentland Funeral Home, North Collins, NY.
